Ksheera Sagara Madhanam

This picture drawn in Photoshop depicts a legend of Ksheera sagara madhanam from Hindu puraanas.It is said the deities and demons churned the ocean of milk for immortalising nectar using the mountain Madhara and thousand headed snake Adishesha as rope.Lord Vishnu in Kurmavathara prevented Mandhara from sinking.But before the nectar,Halahala(deadly poison) emanted and Lord Shiva responded to the prayers and came to rescue of the universe by consuming and storing it in his neck there by earning the name Neelakantha.
